I used to always think “why would anyone want their shoulders looking like this?!”

But I get it now…

I thrifted this coat a couple of years ago and immediately fell in love with it. At the time I was convinced it needed some secondhand surgery but I never got around to it - and I’m glad I didn’t. There’s no way the leather detail would have popped the way it does; I would have most definitely altered the structural integrity of it. If I have to choose between preserving a look and blending with the trends, I’ll choose the former every time.
